Janna (my newish female friend) also knits/crochets. She actually had me order a book off ebay for pineapple doilies to make for Christmas for friends.

She tried to make me a sweater last Christmas, but I kind of bummed her out by saying it had too “old” a look for me (the pattern reminded me of something a grandparent would wear - and now that I am one maybe I should).

Bamboo is nice stuff… ought to be a nice scarf. Especially mixed with silk and wool.
